This species is difficult to distinguish from H. auripila.

At lower altitude you find H. auripila, golden hairs on the abdomen.

In the high mountains you find H. aterrima, black hairs on the abdomen.

Between low and high altitude it’s complicate, there you find intermediate forms of these 2 species.
