Body length : 6-7,5mm.

 

This species is difficult to distinguish from other species of this genus.

The ratio of the second antenna segment to the width of the pronotum and the ratio between the width and length of the pronotum are important.

For N. rugosus is the second segment of the antenna longer than the max width of the pronotum.

And it has a pronotum where width and length are approximately equal.

 

On the ground and in the lower layer in a habitat with grasses and herbs.

Zoophagous : mites, aphids, bugs and small caterpillars.

Host plants : Artemisia sp., Phalaroides arundinacea and Taraxacum sp.
